96 ROCKWELL

Exterior of 96 Rockwell, a converted piano factory in Brooklyn’s BAM district, expanded with new residential units and commercial ground floor.

Located in the BAM cultural district in Brooklyn, we nearly doubled the floor area of this old piano factory building to create 37 new residential units above a commercial ground floor. Boasting stunning views from the upper floors, the project required meticulous attention to detail to join the new to the existing.

SYDNEY HOUSE

For Habitat for Humanity's first large-scale apartment building in NY, we were challenged by a very deep site. Our design for the 57-unit building includes a generous interior court that looks down on a planted roof over the parking garage.

500 WEST 22ND STREET

As architect of record for a new condominium building in Chelsea designed by Annabelle Selldorf, we faced a complex site condition involving an existing foundation wall. The section sketch was used to enhance visualization of the requirements for members of the ownership and consultant team.

The marquee for this building extended the entire length of the facade and supported a planting bed. To maintain a thin, elegant appearance, detailing required careful coordination of structural and plumbing and electrical elements.

42 CROSBY STREET

As executive architects, we were responsible for implementing the refined designs of Annabelle Selldorf's office for this Soho condominium. This detail for the largely glass-enclosed penthouse level addressed complex coordination requirements between large sliding glass doors, a shade system and the building structure.
